Fully Automatic In-line Stencil PrinterSee a Demo Video of the TD2929! Launch Video Now
Milara announces after years of development and refinement, our finest inline printer design, the TouchPrint Digital TD2929 .
Milara introduces new SimuTechTM Technology on TD2929. A twin track system with dual overhead gantries allows for print, 2-D inspection, bottom-side stencil cleaning and dot dispensing simultaneously on two PCBs. This revolutionary technology renders existing printer designs and triple track systems obsolete.
TD2929 is a fully automatic inline printer that offers dot dispensing capability (first introduced in 2002 as “combined system technology”) for flexible solutions using cutting-edge Piezo dispensing technology and true high-speed operation at less than 5 seconds (excluding print).
Additional features include a dual digital servo positioning loop for highest possible alignment accuracies, paste bead dispense while printing, linear servo motion technology and heavy-duty construction for extra stability in multifunction operation. As a key benefit to users, the system features Milara’s patented vibration printing and ultrasonic cleaning, and provides high-density bottom-side contour tooling support.
TD2929 is equipped with a twin conveyor transport system and two overhead gantries which allow the system to perform concurrent tasks as mentioned above using digital vision and linear servo motion control.
Milara reintroduces dot dispensing capabilities in the new TD2929 system (as we did in 2002 also known as “Flexible Solutions” and “Combined System Technology”). Milara has teamed up with Asymtek to now bring you Piezo electric dot dispensing using the SV-100 slider valve. This unit boasts the following:

Shown to the lower left is the inspection camera gantry with the SV-100 dispensing valve mounted. This assembly also incorporates a laser real-time feedback displacement sensor that automatically adjusts the Z height of the dispenser tip to ensure dynamic consistency during the dispensing cycle.
This design utilizes two digital progressive scanning cameras mounted on a high speed linear servo gantry. This not only allows for robust digital vision integration but also makes the optical system use off the shelf components. All camera parameters associated with contrast, brightness, gain scale factors, light intensity, exposure time are manipulated digitally through software parameter control.
Another Milara first, this feature allows the TD2929 to dispense paste while printing. The paste dispensing system is strategically located directly over the rolling paste bead which, while printing allows and even flow transition of fresh paste into the paste bead. This feature also reduces overall cycle time for the system does not have to stop to dispense paste.
The dual canister assembly rides on a linear servo axis and is positioned to traverse in the middle of the front and rear squeegee to perform the dispensing function. Paste low sensors are also equipped to alert the operator when the SEMCO tubes are low with paste material.
The TD2929 operating system is the latest version of Microsoft Windows XP Professional™. This operating system was chosen due to its flexibility and overall robustness. The TD2929 possesses the ability to easily accept these upgrades and provide customers with the latest in operating software technology. A simplistic, non-embedded menu system simplifies overall use to an operator. All primary setup screens are located only one level below the main menu for less confusion.
